(NEW YORK)(August 19, 2008) The national leader of the anti-Obama movement, anti-Obama author Andy Martin, will hold a New York news conference today, Tuesday, August 19th to unveil the movement’s new fund-raising web site and blog.

“We are ramping up for the battle against Barack Obama,” says Martin. “But there has been one overwhelming and embarrassing failure involving Senator Obama's opponents: the failure of the opposition to raise money to run advertising opposing Obama's 'fantasy' ads.

"Obama has raised a third of a BILLION dollars to present his point of view. How much have Obama's opponents raised? One group said last week they had raised '$50,000.' Obama is not going to take chump change seriously. Obama has contempt for the opposition because he now has two MILLION followers contributing funds, and his 'opponents' have nothing to counteract his war chest. People complain about Obama, but up until today they had no way to donate to the opposition. Now they have.

"The Stop Obama Coalition, http://StopObamaCoalition.com, has organized the Committee of One Million to Defeat Barack Obama to raise money for advertising to oppose Obama.

"It is not enough to bellyache about Obama, as Sean Hannity does, when Obama is preparing to flood the United States with deceptive ads in September and October. You need to have the financial muscle to fight back. You need millions and millions of dollars. Will Obama's opponents put their money where their mouth is? Obama's supporters have.

"I have devoted the profits from my book, Obama: The Man Behind the Mask, to the anti-Obama movement. I put my money where my mouth is. I am preparing to engage in independent expenditures. We have absolutely no connection or contact with Senator John McCain's campaign or anyone related to him. We do not plan to run ads that duplicate Senator McCain's message.

"Frankly, I would be happy if the millions of Obama's opponents gave to someone. They don’t have to support our committee. But when Obama has two million donors and only a handful of people have contributed tiny amounts to the opposition, the outcome is not in doubt: Obama will win. Huge amounts of Obama cash will swamp Senator McCain in October and November.

"McCain is accepting public funding for his campaign, so he cannot engage in any more fund raising one he is nominated in a few days. Obama has the right to raise unlimited funds because he has rejected public financing for his campaign. Without independent expenditures to support McCain, Obama will overpower McCain's message the same way he financially overpowered Senator Hillary Clinton.

"Now that McCain is showing he has a chance of winning, Obama is going to appeal for hundreds of millions of dollars more to drown out McCain's message.

"We have a massive challenge ahead of us. No one who says he opposes Obama really oppose Obama until he contributes money to his defeat.

"The task is not going to be easy. Unlike Obama, who is using 'dirty' campaign finance techniques, such as illegal contributions, fat cats and 'bundling,' we have placed strict limits on contributions to the Committee of One Million. If we can raise the money fairly and honestly, we will do so. If not, then people will have to run the risk of four years of Barack and Michelle Obama in the White House. There will be no fat cats, and bundlers giving money to the Committee. We want to provide an opportunity for small donors to finance the opposition to Obama. Our maximum donation is $100," Martin will state.

"I pray to God we raise enough money to get the message out: electing Barack Obama would be the end of the United States as we know and love it. Contribute now, or pay later"
